Original Painting – meaning one of a kind.
Giclée – a high-quality fine art print made by pigment ink sprayed by a high-resolution inkjet printer to produce the highest quality reproduction of the original art. It is the most appropriate and accurate form of printing which last for centuries without any visible sign of fading.
Lithograph – print made using a process created by an image the artist has drawn that is chemically etched and bonded to a stone plate. The stone plate is passed through a machine, pressed on paper to reveal a mirror-image of the drawing. A different stone used for each color. The stone is re-inked every time the image is pressed to the paper. High quality imagery at a lower price compared to giclée.
Limited Edition Prints – Prints are produced in series called editions. Each edition contains prints made from a single plate in a single run they can range from two to thousands. Every print in a run is usually numbered and signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The upper number indicates when the print was created, and the lower number indicates the total number of prints. The lower the number in the run the higher the value.
